ASTM A355 P22 DN400 Sch80 Seamless Low-alloy Heat-resistant Steel Pipe

P22 is not a carbon steel pipe, but a low-alloy heat-resistant steel pipe (chromium-molybdenum steel). Its main features are:

Material: 2.25Cr-1Mo (2.25% chromium, 1% molybdenum), in accordance with ASME SA-335 standard

Application: Suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure conditions in power stations, petrochemical industries, etc. The maximum operating temperature is approximately 565℃.

Advantage: The high-temperature creep strength and oxidation resistance are significantly superior to those of ordinary carbon steel.

Note: Welding requires preheating (at 200-250℃) and post-weld heat treatment; otherwise, cracks are likely to occur.
